BOP.BAS.065 Balloon logbook
Regulation (EU) 2018/395
For each flight, or series of flights, particulars of the balloon, its crew and each journey shall be retained in the form of a balloon logbook or an equivalent document.

General
The balloon logbook, or equivalent, should include the following items, where applicable:
- balloon nationality and registration;
- date;
- name(s) of flight crew member(s);
- place of departure;
- place of arrival;
- time of departure;
- time of arrival;
- hours of flight;
- type of operation;
- incidents and observations, if any; and
- signature of the pilot-in-command.

SERIES OF FLIGHTS
- ‘Series of flights’ means consecutive flights, which begin and end:
- within a 6-hour period;
- at the same operating site or remain within a local area; and
- with the same pilot-in-command of the balloon.
- The term ‘series of flights’ is used to facilitate a single set of documentation.
