BFCL.320 FI(B) – Prerequisites and requirements

Applicants for an FI(B) certificate shall:

1. be at least 18 years of age;
2. comply with the requirements of subparagraphs (a)(1)(i) and (a)(2) of point BFCL.300;
3. have completed 75 hours of balloon flight time as PIC;
4. have completed an instructor training course in accordance with point BFCL.330 at an ATO or a DTO; and
5. have passed an assessment of competence in accordance with point BFCL.345.
